The Allen County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) works year-round to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters of all kinds. Since 1988, our mission has been to keep every township, village, and city in Allen County safe by coordinating resources, planning ahead, and providing critical information when it matters most.
From severe weather and flooding to hazardous materials, transportation accidents, and even large-scale emergencies, EMA serves as the county’s hub for emergency coordination. We maintain the Emergency Operations Center, update the county’s emergency response plans, and partner with local agencies to ensure our community is ready for whatever comes our way.
