Allen County Hazardous Materials Response Team

The Allen County Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Response Team is a specialized unit of trained emergency responders dedicated to safely managing incidents involving hazardous substances. The team responds to chemical spills, gas leaks, unknown materials, and any situation that threatens public health, the environment, or critical infrastructure.

Our responders maintain advanced certifications in hazardous materials operations and technician-level response. Using specialized equipment and standardized protocols, the team can quickly identify, contain, and mitigate dangerous substances. They work closely with local fire departments, law enforcement, environmental agencies, and emergency management partners to ensure a coordinated and effective response.

The HazMat Team is available 24/7 and can be activated for incidents within Allen County as well as regional or statewide mutual-aid deployments.
